Statistics

We drove 3,281 miles on this trip, and covered 12 states; we have now been to 26 of the 50 states. (I have long term sort-of goal to take the kidlets to all 50 before Ben graduates). To count as a visit you have to do more than just stop at the airport or drive through it (without this, we could count Colorado and North Carolina). The ones left fall into two major chunks:

1. The middle – Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, Arkansas, Alabama.

2. The North East – Maine, Mass., Rhode Island, CT,Vermont, Delaware, West Virginia.

I’m going to Vermont for my annual hiking trip, doing a piece of the world-famous Appalachain Trail, but that’s just me so it doesn’t count — I went there once as a little kid anyway.
