Leaving Indianapolis

Well, I feel a bit guilty. We spent our Indianapolis day hanging around the KOA, and never actually ventured into downtown at all. We did pick up some supplies and made a halfhearted effort to find a bike rental place on the river, but never followed through. It was just too nice a day and we needed a down day, given how busy we have been and will be in Chicago.

At the moment we are enroute Monticello, IN where we have a date with a pontoon boat. We have to be at Wrigley Field in Chicago by 7 PM for a Cubs game.

The pattern of almost daily thunderstorms has continued, but the temperature in Indiana seems drastically, and pleasantly, lower than GA, TN and KY. That’s slightly unexpected as my childhood memories of Chicago in the summer are that it was stifling.
