Nashville

It was a long haul from Pigeon Forge to Nashville, but I stand by my opinion that TN is a very attractive state. We arrived in Nashville in the mid afternoon and spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around downtown, plus we took a ‘duck tour’ (half bus, half boat). Nashville is, needless to say, extremely music oriented though according to Wikipedia it’s biggest industry is healthcare with 250 companies headquartered here.

There was a huge flood here a couple of months ago which apparently put most of downtown under 6 feet of water, saw houses floating down the interstate, etc. I had no idea it was even on water but it is, the Cumberland River. They have a huge pedestrian bridge across this river which seems odd in a place so obsessed with walking avoidance.
